Multiplication competition

Never played a mutiplication competition before. A pairs stableford competition whereby you multiply the two scores on each hole. Very interesting because if either of you doesn't score on any hole you get no points. Equally there are loads of points if you both score well. Unfortunately my partner and I tended to take it in turns not to score so we didn't do very well. The pair that we were playing with score 15 points on a par 5 that one of them birdied (5 points) and the other scored 3. We eventually got the idea and scored fourteen points on the last three holes. Great fun.

New Year Texas Scramble

Played the New Year Texas Scramble. Nine holes in teams of four. I didn't know two of the four who were frighteningly good single figure handicappers. Very pleased to hold my own by contributing my fare share. Shot closest to the pin on 3, enabling a birdie: 12 foot birdie putt on 4; tee shot to 10 feet on Par3 5th (unfortunately no-one holed the putt) and second shot to 9. Privileged to play with such good players. Their drives were twice as long as mine and amazing short play. Came off with a lot of confidence. Second place!
